Botulinum toxin is a purified protein derived from the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. It is commonly used in aesthetic medicine to temporarily relax muscles, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.​

Smoothing out the appearance of wrinkles! Botulinum toxin is primarily used to treat dynamic wrinkles which are wrinkles that appear when you contract a facial muscles e.g frowning. It can also be used as a medical treatment to reducing excessive sweating or teeth grinding.

The effects of botulinum toxin typically last between 3 to 6 months. The duration can vary depending on factors such as the area treated, your muscle activity, and your individual response. Regular treatments can help maintain the results.

There is minimal downtime with botulinum toxin injections. Most patients can return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure. Some temporary redness, swelling, or bruising might occur at the injection sites but usually subsides quickly.

Possible side effects include mild discomfort at the injection site, temporary bruising, or swelling. In rare cases, there may be headaches or eyelid drooping. Serious side effects are very uncommon when administered by an experienced professional. We always prioritise safety and thorough consultation before treatment.
